Here is a quick guide to the Egypt e-Visa requirements.

To apply, you must be from an eligible country and have a passport valid for at least six months from your arrival date. Children also need their own passports. You will need a debit or credit card to pay the fee and an email address where your approved visa will be sent.

When filling the form, make sure every detail matches your passport. You must upload a clear scan of the passport’s biography page with all text readable and nothing blocking it.

You will be asked to provide your address in Egypt, but you do not need hotel bookings or flight tickets at the time of application. On arrival, officials may ask for your itinerary, hotel reservation, invitation letter from your host, or your return ticket, so keep them ready.

If your travel date is not final, you may enter an estimated arrival date. You can arrive on a different day as long as it is within your visa validity. The e-Visa is for tourism, allows stays up to 30 days, and you must enter Egypt within three months of issuance. It cannot be extended; overstays can lead to penalties.

Transit rules depend on your nationality and layover time, and some nationalities can enter Egypt visa-free for a limited period. Always confirm the latest rules with the relevant authorities or airlines before travelling.
