  • When was it launched? Back in 2017, when Egypt launched its e-Visa system, it had over 40 countries that were eligible to apply for it. However, now there are over 180 countries that are deemed eligible to apply for an e-Visa to Egypt.
  • 30-Day Stay: The e-Visa allows for a stay of up to thirty days in Egypt. It is available in both single-entry visas and multiple-entry visas. The single-entry visa permits you to enter Egypt only once after its issuance, while a multiple-entry visa permits you to enter Egypt multiple times.

  • Issued in PDF format: The e-Visa is issued in PDF format and sent to you via email. The e-Visa is issued solely for tourism purposes and not for medical treatment, work, or studies.

Documents Required

  • Italian citizens require just an ordinary passport to apply for an Egyptian eVisa. Your passport must remain valid for at least 6months from your arrival date in Egypt and have at least 2 blank pages available for a visa stamp.

Information Required

  • For a visa application, you will also need to provide your full name , date of birth, passport number, its issue and expiry dates, as well as your contact information, including your place of residence, phonenumber, and email address.

Note: If you are a minor, you will need to provide information about your guardian, their passport number, contact information such as email and phone number etc. 

Process for Applying for an eVisa to Egypt

The process of applying for the Egypt evisa is not complicated as long as you have the required documents and information. The e-Visa form can be completed in under ten minutes. 

  • Fill out the online eVisa Application Form: The applicant must complete the online Egypt eVisa Application form and upload the document with it.
  • Pay the eVisa Fee: Next, submit the form and finalise the fee payment processing. Payment can be made using any valid debit or credit card. 
  • Wait for the Approval: You will need to wait for your e-Visa to arrive at your email address. If you don't find it in your inbox after the expected processing time, please check your spam or junk folder.
