Planning a trip to Egypt and wondering how long your visa lasts? The Egypt electronic visa is a convenient way to get travel authorisation for short trips. It lets you stay in Egypt for up to 30 days for tourism only – it’s not valid for work, study, or long-term stays. There are two types of Egypt eVisas: Single-entry eVisa – You can enter Egypt once, stay up to 30 days, and the visa is valid for 90 days from the date it’s issued. If you leave and want to return, you need a new eVisa. Multiple-entry eVisa – Valid for 180 days. You can enter and leave Egypt several times during this period, but each visit can still be no longer than 30 days. After approval, your eVisa is emailed to you as a PDF. Check the validity dates carefully, print it, and carry it with your passport for border control. Remember: you must leave Egypt before your visa expires. If your visa has expired, you need to apply for a new one. You also cannot enter Egypt without a visa, though some travellers may choose a visa on arrival, which also allows a stay of up to 30 days.
